For 25 years, Matt built his career as a golf professional, combining his passion for the game with a sharp eye for style and retail excellence. He owned and operated his own golf shop at Spring Lake Golf Club for 12 years, where he earned the distinction of Merchandiser of the Year. During that time, Matt developed a deep understanding of quality products, thoughtful curation, and the importance of creating a welcoming retail experience.

But Back Dock Outfitters is more than a store — it’s a lifestyle.

Having lived in Lake Tahoe and the Adirondacks, Matt embraced the rugged-meets-refined style of mountain and lake living. Those years shaped his appreciation for versatile fashion, functional design, and effortless comfort. Today, he brings that same aesthetic and spirit to Manasquan — blending coastal ease with elevated everyday wear.
